Shirlee has always been part of my life. A lovely lady. A great mum and grandma.

I’m very sad to hear this, Helen. Thank you. I hadn’t spoken to Shirlee for a few months (I had a number of phone reminders but each time was ‘busy’ - because I loved LONG conversations with her).
I’m thankful I had a few years of catch-up with her and some wonderful, long chats. I will miss her, Helen. Love, 💛

Sad news indeed. Our deepest sympathies and love to you both, and a special hug to Roger.
I've many fond memories, not least some of the warm and generous help in my early homesick time in Sydney, with dinners before joining choir rehearsals letting me know the extent of family there was surrounding me away from home.
We will follow the details on the website but wish we were there to help support you all. ❤️

Karyl, sending you and all the family my love as you celebrate the life of your dear mother tomorrow.
I am sad I am unable to join you as you and she shared my saddest day at Ian's funeral.
Auntie Shirlee was very kind to Ian and me, giving us an engagement party coming to our wedding with Roger and Helen and inviting us to meals and family gatherings when we lived in Sydney and taking an interest in our children .
I enjoyed our phone chats over the years and seeing her at Lynn's funeral more recently. Sadly none of Ian's family will be represented tomorrow, but you will be in our thoughts and prayers. Much love

Dear Roger, Karyl and Lerae - Just here and sending thoughts and love to you all - and families- at this sad time.
Unfortunately I am unable to be there with you to share sadness, celebrations and so many beautiful memories.
I do have so many memories of times spent with my darling Auntie Shirlee.
One of the earliest being how, as a teenager, she would hide a milkshake lolly under my pillow as I slept during sleepovers at The Ranch . Always a highlight of the stay. And the hide and seek games she would play.
I do recall Shirlee and Harry’s wedding - and my special pink velvet dress that I wore! A beautiful wedding and the first I had ever been to….
From later years I remember the lunches at the Coast; travelling and staying together in Adelaide; and of course the Peugeot days! And so many more memories alive in my heart.♥️
I do give thanks for beautiful times spent together.
Know that I am thinking of you all and sending my love. ox

Dear Roger, Please accept my sincere sorrow to you, Karyl and Lerae at the loss of your dear Mum whom I knew well at West Epping Uniting Church.
She was always doing many things at the church like beautiful flower arrangements and catering for Men’s Fellowship. She and Elaine Ferris were an awesome duo in their tireless work ethic and creativity.
Those days were certainly amazing in our church and bit by bit the wonderful community we knew has undergone a significant change in the local overseas population. But we certainly honour those folk like your Mum and Dad who built the strong Christian influence for us who are left to carry on.

Greetings Roger and Helen. Please accept our condolences. Unfortunately it's something that people our age have to undergo - the loss of a loved parent due to a range of conditions that can be summarised as "old age".
Your Mum has moved on. We hope you are both OK. Best wishes

A break-in the chain of family friendship that lasted several generations. Shirlee was an important and essential link in the chain. Many happy memories of family events together, especially when at Harry's suggestion, Shirlee and Lyndall travelled overseas together to visit family and friends. Keeping the family in our thoughts and prayers and remembering Shirlee as a lady of many talents but especially as a treasured friend.
